Bourbon-Glazed Sausage with Sweet Potatoes & Green Beans

The same sheet-pan idea, but with bourbon front and center. The cubed sweet potatoes drink up the honey-bourbon drizzle, the green beans get a little blistered, and the whole pan smells like a Sunday dinner.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Bourbon & Honey Smoked Sausage sliced into 1/2-inch coins
  • 2 large sweet potatoes cubed
  • 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon optional but worth it
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat. Heat the oven to 400°F.
  • Whisk the glaze. In a small bowl, stir together the honey, bourbon, olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss everything. On a sheet pan, toss the sausage, sweet potatoes, and green beans with the glaze.
  • Roast. Spread in a single layer and roast 25–30 minutes, tossing once, until the sweet potatoes are tender and everything is caramelized.
  • Serve. Spoon onto plates while the glaze is still glossy.
