This is the kind of appetizer that takes over the snack table and never lets go. The sausage brings the smoky-bacon, sharp-cheddar punch right into the dip — no extra bacon needed.

Instructions
Hollow out the bowls. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cut the tops off the bread bowls and pull out the insides, tearing them into bite-sized pieces — those go on the dipping platter later.
Make the dip base. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, 1 cup of the cheddar, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
Fold in the good stuff. Stir in the diced sausage and half the green onions.
Fill and top. Spoon the dip into the bread bowls, mounding it slightly. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar over the tops.
Bake. Set the bowls on a sheet pan and bake 18–22 minutes, until the dip is bubbly and the cheese on top is golden.
Serve hot. Scatter the remaining green onions over the top. Surround with the torn bread, crackers, and veggies. Dig in while it's hot.
