Ingredients
- 16 oz Apple Pie Sausage casings removed and crumbled
- 2 boxes 15 count each mini phyllo pastry shells, thawed
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup canned apple pie filling chopped small
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Brown the sausage. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cook the crumbled sausage in a skillet over medium 5–7 minutes, until browned. Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly.
- Whip the cream cheese. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cinnamon together until light and fluffy.
- Fold in the filling. Stir the cooled sausage and chopped apple pie filling into the cream cheese mixture.
- Fill the cups. Arrange the phyllo shells on a baking sheet. Spoon about 1 heaping teaspoon of filling into each.
- Warm them up. Bake 8–10 minutes, just until heated through and the shells are crisp.
- Drizzle and serve. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve warm.
