Jalapeño Cheddar Pigs in a Blanket

The ultimate upgrade on a party classic. Spicy cheesy sausage wrapped in buttery crescent dough, brushed with egg wash, and baked until golden — these vanish off the platter faster than you can plate them.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Jalapeño Cheddar Smoked Sausage cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 large egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds
  • Ranch dressing or honey mustard for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat. Heat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Cut the dough. Separate the crescent dough into triangles, then cut each triangle into 2 smaller triangles.
  • Roll them up. Place a sausage piece at the wide end of each smaller triangle and roll up snugly toward the point.
  • Top them. Arrange seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  • Bake. Bake 12–14 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Serve warm. Set out with ranch and honey mustard for dipping.
