Sausage & Brie Crostini

Elegant and effortless — sliced sausage on a toasted baguette with creamy brie and a drizzle of honey. The kind of appetizer that looks like you fussed when you really didn’t.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Rosemary & Roasted Garlic Smoked Sausage sliced thin on the bias
  • 1 French baguette sliced into rounds
  • 6 oz brie cheese rind removed, sliced
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • Cracked black pepper

Instructions

  • Toast the bread. Heat the oven to 400°F. Brush the baguette rounds with olive oil and arrange on a baking sheet. Toast 6–8 minutes, until golden at the edges.
  • Sear the sausage. While the bread toasts, heat a skillet over medium and lightly sear the sausage slices, 1–2 minutes per side, just enough to wake them up.
  • Top with brie. Place a slice of brie on each warm crostini. The residual heat will start to soften it.
  • Build and finish. Add a sausage slice, a small drizzle of honey, and a crack of black pepper to each.
  • Garnish and serve. Top with a small sprig of rosemary and serve at room temperature.
