Glazed Fruit & Sausage Breakfast Bake

The honey and bourbon notes pair beautifully with warm fruit — apples and blueberries soften into something jam-like in the oven while the sausage glazes itself. Spoon it over Greek yogurt or warm oatmeal for a brunch that walks the line between breakfast and dessert.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Bourbon & Honey Smoked Sausage sliced into coins
  • 2 apples sliced (Honeycrisp or Pink Lady)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Greek yogurt or warm oatmeal for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat. Heat the oven to 375°F.
  • Build the bake. Toss the sausage, apples, blueberries, butter, and cinnamon in a baking dish. Spread into an even layer.
  • Bake. Slide into the oven and bake 20 minutes, until the fruit is bubbly and the sausage is glossy.
  • Serve. Spoon over Greek yogurt or warm oatmeal. Plenty of juice from the bake to drizzle over the top.
